Patricia "Patty" Patrick

Patricia “Patty” Patrick, 68, passed away at her home Sunday, August 4, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.

Patty was born February 19, 1945, in Des Moines, to Gerald and Winifred (Welchman) Rowles. She was a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1994. Patty was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Patty is survived by her husband, James; children, Michael (Rene) Shelton, Julie (Troy) Good, and Jeffrey (Timmi) Patrick; brothers, Jerry, Joe and Jim Rowles; grandchildren, Jacob Shelton and Sydney Shelton, Josh Patrick, Nikki Good, Katie Good, Kelsey Patrick, and Connor Patrick; and great-grandchildren, Kiya, Ava, and Jaxsen Patrick. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Visitation of Remembrance will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2013, with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m., at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Friday at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5711 SW 9th Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
