Leslie Terrell, 89, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, at the VA Community Living Center.
Leslie was born December 11, 1923, in Des Moines, to Henry and Anna (Shelton) Terrell. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Corps during WWII. Leslie retired from Roberts Dairy in 1985 after 34 years of service in the dairy industry. He was a member of the I-Club, Cottage Grove Presbyterian Church, and the Drake Bulldog Tip-Off Club. Leslie was an avid Hawkeye fan, and enjoyed playing the piano and writing poetry and letters. He also was an animal lover and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Leslie is survived by his daughters, Katie Hess and Ruth Terrell; son, Mark Terrell; siblings, Marguerite Gross, Kenneth Terrell, and Ruth Morris; granddaughter, Lisa Hutchins; and great-granddaughter, Julia Hutchins He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Dean McPherson.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Cottage Grove Presbyterian Church, 1050 24th Street.

I would like to express my thoughts and feelings for Babe Terrell.I was Secretary Treasure and Business Agent for Teamster Local 387 to which Babe belonged. He was a Friend and a Great Union Member,always there when needed. We need more like Him!
