Emajane "Janie" Clemenson

Emajane “Janie” Clemenson, 76, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Kavanagh on 56th Street.

Janie was born December 26, 1936, in Grinnell, Iowa, to Rolland and Marjorie Huff. She was married in 1955, and had three children by the age of 24. Janie filled her life with her passion and love for family, genealogy, and especially her church. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sons of Norway, and the Scandinavian Club.

Janie is survived by her husband and love of her life, Curtis R. Clemenson; children, Curtis R. “Skip” (Evelyn L. Schnoor) Clemenson, Jr., Gina (Bill) Brewer, and Randy (Julie) Clemenson; grandchildren, Clinton R. Clemenson, Megan Clemenson, Tiffany (Mickey) Pesek, Stephanie (Ysrael) Moris Peguero, Whitney Brewer, Brittany Byrnes, Fallynn Cook, and Melissa Cook; great-grandson, Samuel Pesek; and her brothers, Roland “Ron” (Jodi) Huff, Jack (Zennie) Huff, and Rick (Connie) Huff. She was preceded in death by baby Jo Ann.

The family will receive friends at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 600 6th Avenue, from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2013.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the second love of her life, St. John’s Lutheran Church.
