Darlene Bale

Darlene Bale, 67, passed away Monday, January 21, 2013, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

Darlene was born September 18, 1945, in Des Moines. She retired from Dura Automotive Systems. Darlene had been a member of the Baptist church in Moberly, Missouri. She enjoyed reading, gardening and making crafts.

Darlene is survived by her husband, LeRoy Bale; children, Mary (Ed) Kelly, Terri (Cleeton) Humphrey, and Charles (Taryn) Dale; grandchildren, Gerad Dale, Nick Kelly, Kyle Huffman, Dylan Huffman, Caleb Humphrey, Chip Dale, and Bryant Dale; brothers, Ted (Dixie) Millard and Doc (Sherri) Millard; sisters, Lola (Richard) Titus, Bette (Bill) Morris, Missy (Don) Karasek, and Joy Millard; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Artie and Punk Millard.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with services following at 6 p.m.
