Carolyn Sue “Susie” Van Gundy

Carolyn Sue “Susie” Van Gundy, 59, passed away Monday, December 10, 2012.

Susie was born July 19, 1953, in Des Moines. She retired from the State of Iowa in 2010, after 27 years of service as an administrative assistant. Susie’s greatest joy in life was her family. She also enjoyed playing the piano and bird watching. She was a very active member of Faith Tabernacle, Inc.

Susie is survived by her loving husband, Randall Van Gundy; mother, Shirley Kuyrkendall; children, Joshua (September) Madison, Caleb (Sara) Madison, Andrew Van Gundy, and Amy Van Gundy; sisters, Anita (Dennis) Van Gundy and Deanna (Patrick) Smith; grandchildren, Daniel and Emilie Madison; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, and cousins.

Susie was and is loved by her family and friends. Although they will miss her, they are rejoicing that she is home with her heavenly Father, worshipping, praising, and magnifying His Holy name.

A private memorial service was held at Faith Tabernacle, Inc.
