Kenyon Peck, 57, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at the Mercy Medical Center.
Kenyon was born December 4, 1955, in Colfax, and remained “small town” even after moving to Des Moines. He was very mechanically minded and well versed in the HVAC field. Kenyon was a boiler operator at the VA Hospital in Des Moines for many years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling to Missouri and Charlotte, North Carolina, and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Kenyon is survived by his daughter, Lisa; mother, Juanita; sister, Kim; two grandsons; and many other loving extended relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 12 to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2012, followed by a memorial service at 2:30 p.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

To Ken's family. Sorry to hear about your loss of your loved one. I have great memories with all of you when we were growing up in the west end of Colfax. I'm sure he will be greatly missed. Thinking of all of you at this difficult time.

I will remember Ken as always being good humored when we worked at Central College together. I never really knew much about Mark Martin until I met Ken. He loved Ford and I enjoyed talking with him about it. I hope that Kim, Natalie and Amy take some comfort in knowing that Ken was a good and kind man that others liked to be around him. He will be missed.

Definitely at a loss of words. We shared a house in Newton for over 5 years and were closer than brothers. Only GREAT memories of Kenny and he's in my heart. I can't stop crying, you will be missed!!!
