Service Details
Samuel George Kurtz, infant son of Jamie and Ron Kurtz, died Friday, November 30, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. The memorial service will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Samuel is survived by his mommy and daddy, Jamie and Ron; his big brother, Andrew; his grandparents, Glen and Denise Kurtz, Deb Layland, and Bruce Christensen; his great grandparents, Ron and Carol Templeman, Thelma Kurtz, and Wylma Layland; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Michael Layland.

We don't know each other but I felt compelled to express my sympathy to you and your family. My infant son, Tristan Schutte, died 3 months ago. There are no perfect words to make this any easier, just know my heart broke for you when I read Samuel's obituary. You are not alone in your grief. Hugs and prayers for your family, Laura Johnston.
