Samara Miller

Samara LaVonne Miller, daughter of Lindsey Clark and Sean Miller, was born October 25, 2012, and passed in the arms of her parents on October 26, 2012. Samara was born with a rare and lethal neural tube defect called Anencephaly.

Samara’s time here on this earth was brief, but she taught more than an entire lifetime’s worth of lessons. She showed us selflessness, acceptance of all things, and most of all… the absolute purest form of love.

Samara is survived by her parents; grandparents, Cathy and Jim Scott, John and Theresa Miller, Lorrie Buck and David Clark; great-grandparents; aunts; uncles; and cousins.

Samara’s family has chosen to grieve in private and will not be having a memorial service. They wish to thank all of their friends and family for the kindnesses and support they have received. In addition, they would also like to thank the staff at Iowa Methodist for their wonderful care, especially Dr. Hoegh for his love and “going above and beyond” to care for Lindsey, Sean, and baby Samara through this very sad time.
