Doris "Virginia" Faller

Virginia Faller, 86, died Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at Ramsey Home. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2007 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines with burial in Glendale Cemetery.
Virginia was born September 20, 1920 in Ottumwa to Bertha and Harold Chedister. She worked as a retail clerk for Richmond-Gordman before her retirement in 1987. She was a member of West Des Moines Christian Church, the Helping Hand Club, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Merry (Rick) Nuss of Des Moines; her sons Joel (Sue) and Timothy (Michele) Faller both of Des Moines; her brother Jack Chedister of Ottumwa; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph F. Faller; her parents; her brothers, Donald and Keith Chedister; and her sisters Mary Lou and Carolyn.
Visitation will be 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lois and Dale Bright Alzheimer’s Unit at Ramsey Village or to Hospice of Central Iowa.
