Service Details
Mary Soda, 89, died Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center. A funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, with burial following at Glendale Cemetery. A visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a vigil service at 6 p.m., on Tuesday, October 2, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
Mary was born November 25, 1922, in Des Moines, to Peter and Anna Ursano. She worked in record keeping at Midland Financial for 12 years. Mary was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, St. Anthony’s Altar and Rosary Society, and the Bellizzi MacRae American Legion.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Joanne (Dave) Stockwell and Ann (Don) Grant; sister, Katherine Caracciolo; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Joseph James, in 2010.

We found out by accident that your dear Mom and Grandma had passed away. Denny accidently called Ted and he told Denny about your Mom's obit in the Sunday paper.
