Shirley Bogue

On June 10, 2007 Shirley went to join our savior, Jesus along with her long missed daughter, Debra.
Shirley was born October 21, 1936 in Norwoodville, IA to Clifford and Mary Grother. She loved her work and her career spanned over 30 years, first as a nurses aide then as a certified medical technician. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Shirley especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren camping and fishing. She loved the outdoors.
Shirley is survived by her sons, Martin Bennett of Ankeny, Clifford Bennett of Des Moines, Richard Bennett of Mesa, AZ, George Bennett of Prairie City, IA and Max Bennett of Newton, IA; brothers, Mike Grother of Des Moines, John Joe Grother of North Port, FL and David Grother of Grantsville, UT; sisters, Mary Ducksworth of Des Moines and Rita Hamrock of Points, WV; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many loving and caring nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Ann; parents, Clifford and Mary Grother; husbands, Max M. Bennett and Russel Bogue; and her brother, Clifford Grother, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Following the service, the family will greet friends until 8 p.m. for a time of sharing and reflection on Shirley’s life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for the Science Care Center.
