La Vonne Mullin

La Vonne “Boots” Mullin, 77 of Berwick died on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at the Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House. La Vonne will be cremated with no funeral service.
La Vonne was born on July 31, 1929 in Algona, IA. She moved to Des Moines in 1950. She worked for Ford’s Tavern also known as Joe & Betty’s (now Toads) for 10 years; she also worked for A&S Repair for 10 years. La Vonne was a sports fan; she was a Chicago Cubs and Bears fan along with the Hawkeyes. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
La Vonne is survived by her husband; Wayne L. Mullin of Berwick, son; Duane (Kathy) Sabin of Des Moines, daughter; Melinda (Joe) Green of Des Moines, step-sons; Michael (Mary Alice) Mullin of Des Moines, Jeff (Tammy) Mullin of Des Moines, Pat (Laura) Mullin of Des Moines, John Mullin of Des Moines, Tim Mullin of Des Moines, step-daughters; Victoria (Al) Swanson of Des Moines, Christine (David) Swenson of Alabama along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. La Vonne is preceded in death by her daughter in-law Connie Mullin. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House, 3401 E. Douglas Ave.
