Duaine Lee Field, III

Duaine Lee Field, III, 27, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, September 13, 2012. Duaine was born on August 13, 1985, the son of Judy and Duaine Field, Jr. He attended school in the Des Moines Public Schools system and took classes at Indian Hills Community College.

Duaine enjoyed writing poetry, reading, and drawing. He liked listening to heavy metal music. Duaine loved animals and children and was a free spirit. He was a people person and lived life to its fullest. Duaine will be greatly missed by everybody who loved him.

Duaine is survived by his mother, Judy Thompson; step-father, Ken Thompson; brothers, Shawn (Jon) Quick, Michael (Debbie) Wilson, David Negrete, and Douglas Negrete; sister, Debra Nguyen; “big sister”, Brandy Nissen; children, Leilene, Destiny, Ethan and Natalie; grandmothers, Colleen Quick and JoAnn Shutte-Vaughn; nieces and nephews, Venieta, Jamie, Natalee, Maya, Leah and Aiden; girlfriend, Alexis Garcia; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Duaine Field, Jr.; sister, Jamie Wilson; grandfathers, Duaine “Red” Field, Sr., and Jack Quick, Sr.; great-grandmother, Annie Myers; and aunt, Brenda Field.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, also at the funeral home. Please come join us and help us celebrate Duaine’s life.
