I was a volunteer at Park Avenue School and worked with Greta Faye in the library. She was a great person and I had fun working with her. She was a very interesting person to visit with. Although I am a person who loves to read, she taught me the true value of books.

I met Greta Faye on Banker's Trust's Secure Life Style Trips. She was an interesting person to talk to. But litle did know she had about the same Birthday as mine. I remember asking her if she was related to Tom Mix of Cowboy Fame. She said Oh! Yes he is there also. I did not realize that we had a lot to talk about because I was in Sasebo, Japan for a few years and her obit mentions Sasebo. It's always sad to see a nice person like her leave. But, I'm sure the Lord has a special place for her.We will say a prayer for her. Robert Osborn - Urbandale and of the 24th Hawaiian Infantry in Sasebo, Japan.

Dear Gwendolyn, We happened to see in the register today the obituary of Greta Faye and the account of her impressive life. Many years ago, we knew Greta Faye at Parsons College and remember her very well even though we havent seen her since. We wanted you to know that she was remembered by her friends. Dear Gwen,
I've come to know both Greta Faye and you over these recent years while she has been at Prime Nursing and Rehab. As a volunteer Resident Advocate I would check in on her periodically, and I was always so grateful that she was blessed by a sister as caring and devoted as you. Please know you are in my heart and prayers.

Greta Faye and I were friends in high school and continued to stay in touch for a long time after that. I especially remember her having me down to visit when she was in Parsons College. She was a great person, and did a lot during her life.
She will be missed by all that knew her.

I met Greta Faye for the first time as part of a group that went to Salt Lake City to do genealogy in 1999. The tragic shooting there bonded us as members of the SLC Survivors. I loved her wit and her sense of humor and I will always remember her story about her ancestor coming to America because she wanted to wear a hat to church. Rest in peace, Greta Faye... I feel blessed to have known you.
