Martha Gardner

Martha Aline Gardner, 92, (Formerly of Ankeny) passed away Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Ramsey Village in Des Moines, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Sunday, June 10, 2007 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens. Funeral services will be 10 am, Monday, June 11, 2007 at Highland Park Christian Church.
Aline was born April 29, 1915 in Chariton, Iowa. She married Donald E. Gardner on April 29, 1939 and they where together for 62 years before his passing in 2001. She was an active member of the Highland Park Christian Church for many years and a member of Ankeny Chapter of Tri-T and also a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed.
Preceding Aline in death were her parents, Max and Lola Lamb, her husband, Donald E. Gardner, son, Steven and five brothers.
She is survived by a sister, Rosemary Taylor, her grandson, Scott (Jennifer) Gardner and two great grandchildren, Seth and Leah Gardner.
Memorial contributions may be made to Highland Park Christian Church or Ramsey Village in Des Moines.
