Service Details
Julia Fresco, 90, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm, Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Julia was born May 23, 1922, in Des Moines, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Bruno Fresco, and the couple was blessed with one daughter, Marlene. Julia enjoyed bowling, shopping, and cooking. Mostly she loved spending time with her Marlene and family.
Julia is survived by her daughter, Marlene; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Marlene, I was so sorry to read about Julia in the paper this morning. I've been out of the office and didn't see it until now. I think about you and our fun times at the Playhouse. We should get back in touch.
