Deborah Kay Robinson
February 09, 2012
Deborah Kay Robinson was born on January 31, 1952, to Linden and Dorothy Robinson in Des Moines, Iowa. Debbie was raised in Des Moines and received her education in the Des Moines Public School System. Debbie graduated from East High School in 1969.
Debbie’s work history includes the Iowa Association of School Boards, the State of Iowa, Bankers Life and the Des Moines University until her health prevented her from working.
Debbie gave her life to Jesus Christ as a youngster. She continued her walk as a member of Maple Street Baptist Church most of her life. She later became a member at True Bible Baptist Church and was currently a member of Corinthian Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Michael Burton.
Debbie’s hobbies included her first love – ceramics, crocheting, sewing and cooking. Debbie also loved reading and especially spending time with God through His word – the bible.
Deborah went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 9, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. Preceding her in death were her parents, Linden and Dorothy; her paternal grandmother, Ottamae Robinson; and several uncles and aunts.
Those left to cherish Debbie’s memories are her half-sister, Bamie L. Jackson; her uncle, Russell Hunter of Wisconsin; and a host of cousins and many friends.
Debbie was good daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin and friend. She is truly going to be missed. Blessings be to all!!!
Home going services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2012, at Corinthian Baptist Church, 814 School Street, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Family will greet friends an hour prior to the service at the church.

I know my cousin Deborah is in a better place. I will always have the memories of spending my summers in my youth and how much fun we all had together. Now you are with Uncle Linden and Aunt Dorothy at peace. Love you and God Bless.

Our sympathies to Deborah's family and friends. She had a tough exterior but a soft interior, and I appreciated her friendship when we worked together. May God bless her spirit.

We remember fun times and conversations with 'Debbie' on our walks to and from school. We also remember many good times and laughs as Brownies and Girl Scouts of Troop 39. We're saddened by her passing and extend our heartfelt sympathy and prayers to the family.
