It has been over 7 years since Steve's death and every day I think of him. It is getting harder to hear his voice, or remember his laugh, but I can still see those mischievous twinkling blue eyes. He will always be the missing part of my heart, and the best part of me. Love you always. MJ

Dear Mary, Russ, Sheila and families,
This is a long time in coming as we just found on the internet.
January was a rough time and we don't get much time to do this.
Sorry for your loss, hope all are doing well. We are keeping you in our prayers for peace, strength and courage. Wish we could have spent more time in Iowa getting to know all the family.
We love you and hope see you at the reunion in August, Lord willing.
Love Lena and Verlene

So sorry for your loss. I was a friend of Steve's in high school. He was always a lot of fun. I'm so glad to read about his life after high school. Sounds like he continued to live life, search out his dreams and have a wonderful life with a great family. He will be missed!

Steve was a great guy. When my father died in 2002 and it seemed I would have to go to Canada for the funeral, Steve offered to mow my lawn for me while I was away. When I was shopping for a new car in 2004, Steve was very helpful, giving me good advice and looking over the car I chose in case I missed anything. After I bought the car I accidently locked my keys in it while it was running--I called Steve. After he finished laughing, he told me who to call to get help. These are just two of many similar memories I have of Steve--a kind man and a good friend. My sincere condolences to Mary and the family.

Vi, Mary, Doug and all of the Sadler Family
I was saddened to read of Steves passing. Although I hadn't seen him in many years, I would think of him for some reason from time to time. I remember going all through school with Steve...He was always one of the good guys! I remember visiting your home on 6th avenue. Yours was the first walk in attic I had ever seen! You all are in my thoughts and prayers today. May god grant you comfort and peace in this time of grief.

Dear Sadler family,
I was sad to hear about the death of Steve. He was one year ahead of me in high school and I remember playing lots of basketball with him. He was always very positive and fun to be around. My sympathy to all of the Sadlers.

Family of Steve Sadler,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Steve and I shared an apartment in Grinnell after high school and I have many memories of our time together as great friends. I met my wife of forty-one years because of Steve and I owe him dearly for that. May you feel the comforting presence of God.

Mary and family-
I was truly saddened to hear of Steve's passing. Steve was a great co-worker and an even better friend. I have so many great memories of Steve, most notably the annual deer hunting trips with his dad and brothers. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

MaryJane, Alison, Brett, Jessie,
I love you all and I wish I could be there!!! I am so happy that I got to see all of you during Christmas :) Big HUGS, and whatever you do, do not go off by yourself. You'll start crying and won't be able to stop. Uncle Norm gives wonderful hugs and a very comfortable shoulder to cry on if you need that, in fact you may just want to do that, you feel so much better. Brett that includes you too, just because you are a man, doesn't mean that you don't have feelings.
Love you bunches!!!!!
