Ronald D. Scott

Ronald Dean Scott left this world far too soon on Wednesday, December 7, 2011. He was 60 years old.

Ron was born on September 26, 1951, to Paul and Betty Scott. He lived his entire life in Des Moines and often wore a shirt that proudly announced Southsider. He had retired after thirty-six years of employment with the city of Des Moines. Ron was an avid outdoorsman. He said he did his best thinking and made important decisions on the side of a river bank or deep in the woods. He loved nature and the art of the hunt. Ron loved his family and home life.

His memory will be held by his wife and best friend, Rachel; his daughter, Amy; his son, Scott; his daughter-in-law, Diane; his grandchildren, Reanna and Keegan and his brother, Dan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jerry and sister, Cleo.

He was a good man and will forever be missed.
