Jack Zelcer, 64, passed away Monday, November 7, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. No services are planned at this time.
Born November 19, 1946 in Thal, Austria, Jack Zelcer was the son of Ervin and Mary (Meltzer) Zelcer. He grew up and attended school in Los Angeles, California before moving to Iowa in 1991. On February 14, 1977 Jack was united in married to the love of his life, Nona Grout.
Jack enjoyed traveling and riding his motorcycle. Most of all he loved spending time with Nona.
Survivors include his wife, Nona; children, Karie (Charles) Johnson, Todd Zelcer, and Micole (Matthew) Crouse; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Al Zelcer.
