James Campidilli, 64, died Saturday, October 22, 2011, at his home in Ankeny. He was born June 6, 1947, in Fort Dodge, Iowa to John and Gladys Campidilli.
James was a life long cookware salesman, enjoyed playing cards, and was an avid baseball fan.
James is survived by his daughters, Lauri (Patrick) Campidilli-Leo, Stacy (Joel) Peiffer, and Jaymee (Brian) Johnson; five grandchildren; brothers, Bob (Chris) Campidilli, Bill (Linda) Campidill, and Ernie (Pat) Campidilli; sisters, Jean (Gary) Naeve and Cheryl Campidilli. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, October 27, 2011, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 26 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of James.

Girls, One of my fondest memories of Jim was comparing Grand kid stories. He was so very proud of his Grand Children and their parents. So very proud of you three young ladies. And he has the best grandpa name EVER... GRANDPADILLI.

Lauri, Stacy and Jaymee,
We are so sorry to hear of your Dads passing. Paula and I have many good memories of the times we had with him and with all of you in your early childhood years.
After college, as I started into the work world, your Dad was my mentor, and a very good one. We worked, golfed, played tennis, and just hung out together on many, many occasionstruly special memories.

So sorry about your dad. Uncle Jim was very special to us, and we looked forward to his visits when he traveled through with his shows. Remember all those special times and keep sharing him with your kids. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and you and your families are in our hearts.
