John L. Easter, Jr.

John L. Easter Jr., 50, went home to be with the Lord on October 1, 2011. He was born to John L. and Betty (Swartz) Easter, Sr. on June 13, 1961 in Des Moines. His career included working for heating & cooling companies and roofing companies. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and sprint car racing.

John was preceded in death by his father, John L. Easter, Sr. He leaves behind his loving wife, Karol Easter; children, John (Lum Nan) Easter III, Cindy Easter, and Michelle (Andrew Cannaday) Easter; grandchildren, Aliece Fox, Raven Flute, Will Flute, Dylan Flute and Angel Ja Aung Easter; mother, Betty Easter; sisters, Lucretia Oakes and Elizabeth Easter; and his brother, Gary Easter.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2011 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial at Pine Hill Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
