Stephen Bainter

Stephen Charles Bainter, Sr., 62, died Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at his home.
A memorial service will be held 2:30 PM Friday, August 26, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

Stephen was born March 25, 1949, to Harvey and Helen (Cutler) Bainter in Des Moines. He worked as a mechanic supervisor for Mail Tech for over 15 years and most recently at Color FX. He raised pigeons and doves, collected baseball cards and all things Tazmanian Devil.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Crystal Bainter; children, Stephen (Krista) Bainter, Jr., April Bainter, Shane Bainter, Tina (Will) Bland, and Tammy (Louie) Eltayb; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers, Harvey (Sherry) Bainter, Jr., Terry Bainter, Pat Gartin, and Martin Gartin; sisters, Shawneen (Scott) Wilson, Kim Bainter, and Rae Larson; favorite dog, Taz; and a host of other family and beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Rick and Randy Rose; and sister, Jeanie Robertson.
