Loren "Joe" Heintz

Loren “Joe” Heintz, 76, passed away July 6, 2011, at Bright Kavanagh Hospice House.

Joe was born October 6, 1934, in Nevada, Iowa, to Fred and Marie Heintz. He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked as an engineer for IPTV.

Joe was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and the rest of his family, especially when the time involved electronic gadgets. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors and friends.

Joe is survived by his children, Kym (Todd) Sells, Jennifer (Kirk) Trow, Michelle (Mike) Staley and Melissa Drake; grandchildren, Kali (Andrew), Madison, Sydney, Tristyn and Johnathan; great grandchild, Asher; sister, Janet (John) Teply; and his brother, Norman (Mary) Heintz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruthanne; son, Loren Joseph, Jr., and his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
