Bob is an Advanced Planning Consultant for Hamilton’s. He was born and raised in Humboldt, Iowa. He graduated from Humboldt High School and the Don Martin School of Radio and Television Arts and Sciences in Hollywood, California. He founded Humboldt's first radio station and cable television system in 1970. He served in Governor Terry Branstad's Administration for ten years as a commissioner of the Iowa Real Estate Commission. Bob also served in President Ronald Reagan's Administration through various appointments. Before joining Hamilton's in February, 2003, he was in marketing in the funeral industry for nine years.
Bob has a daughter, Melanie, who lives in Humboldt with her husband and two children. Bob's son, Troy and his wife, reside in Cedar Rapids and have three children. Troy is the executive director of the P-G-A, Iowa Section.
Bob attends Westkirk Presbyterian in Urbandale, is a “voracious reader” and appreciates fine music. He is an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Minnesota Vikings fan, enjoys attending events at the Civic Center and playing golf.
