Dave Myers

Dave began his work-life in funeral service in 1968 when he enlisted in the US Army Memorial Activities Department, serving in Quang Tri, South Viet Nam with the 5th d Army Division Grave Registration Team. Following his service in the military he completed studies at Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, and earned a degree in History at Northeastern while working at Piser Memorial Chapels, serving the Jewish community of Chicago. Dave came to Hamilton’s Funeral Home in 1976. In 2000 Dave moved to Hawaii where he worked in a multi cultural funeral setting, loving the tropical climate. He returned to Des Moines in 2010 to enjoy his children and grandchildren, and is continuing his work-journey at Hamilton’s.
