Daniel Ehrlich

Funeral Director

He grew up in Ankeny but is originally from Bonner Springs, Kansas. Daniel graduated from Ankeny high school in 2012, then went to DMACC for his associates degree. He transferred to Drake University where he studied international politics with an emphasis on China. After graduation, Daniel took part in Drake's Teach in China program. Over the next two years he lived in Changchun in Jilin province, and Chongqing, a city of thirty two million people. Daniel's best memory from China was visiting the Chengdu giant panda research and breeding facility, where all the world's zoos get their pandas from! Upon returning to the USA, he taught at DMACC at the Southridge Mall location and pursued his master’s degree in history. After graduation, Daniel worked at Living History Farms for a season, where he met many retired Funeral Directors while working at the drug store. This sparked his interest in a career as a Funeral Director and the rest is history.

He recently got married in the Philippines to his wife, Moisa. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his young niece and nephew, studying all things history, and reads a lot of science fiction. Daniel also enjoys watching classic films with family.
