Donald R. Clark Donald Ray Clark
Of Colfax, Iowa

Donald R. Clark, age 83, passed away on April 19, 2017 at the VA Hospital in Des Moines. He was born on January 22, 1934 in Boonville, Missouri.

Donald graduated from Malta Bend High School in Missouri. He moved to Iowa and worked as a construction contractor, maintenance worker for Dell Oil and as an Independent Researcher. Donald had a passion for the outdoors, he enjoyed elk hunting in Colorado with buddies and always joked he would be the “bear bait.” He will be remembered for his positive outlook on life, whenever someone was going through a hard time he would always give the advice: All I can say is give the world your best and the best will come back to you. He will be dearly missed by who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son, Mark (Susanna) Clark; companion, Barb Straley; sister, Juanita Sawdey; grandchildren, Lela and Hannah; and best friend, Steve DeBruin.

Donald was preceded in death by his brother, Julian; and parents, Homer and Elsie Clark.

A private family viewing was held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home in Des Moines.

Memorial Contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Donald.
