Richard Neal Kisner (Dick), 76, passed away February 24, 2021 in Des Moines. He was born in Guthrie, OK on October 10, 1944 to Oliver Richard and Ruby Nell Kisner (Neal). He grew up in Tulsa Oklahoma, was active in Boy Scouts with his father as well as multiple sports and his church.

Dick attended Doane College in Crete, NE and he lived most of his life in the Des Moines and Altoona, Iowa area. He married Carol Sue Parker on July 2, 1982. He was an avid bowler, and loved to attend all of his children and grandchildren's sporting events. He was active in a bowling league for many years, played softball, and loved swimming. His time in the scouts with his father instilled a love for travel and camping, which he took with him throughout his life. He accomplished his goal of visiting all 50 states in 2014. He was an avid reader throughout his life, he especially enjoyed westerns. Dick enjoyed old movies with John Wayne and any 007 movies being his favorites. He was a consummate baby whisperer with the ability to lull any child to sleep in his embrace.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Sue Kisner; sister, Karen Sue Hinton (Jim); children: Sean Kisner, Amanda Wollard (Dale), Annette Grote (Fred), Karina Kisner, Chelsea Christenson (Tim); 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Oliver Richard and Ruby Nell Kisner.
