Jeremiah "Miah" Newton

Jeremiah "Miah" Newton, 38, Altoona, Iowa, died on 20 January 2021. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Miah is survived by his wife Tara, children Morrighan, Genevieve, and Leathan, parents Craig and Marilyn Newton, brother Joshua, and sister Elena.

Miah had a smile and a hug for everyone. He loved playing with the children and truly became "Hagrid" when he cosplayed. In the past, he had enjoyed scuba diving and making stained glass.

Nothing made Miah happier than playing boardgames with family, friends, and even strangers. He met his wife through their mutual love of boardgames.

Please play a boardgame in memory of him and don't forget he always chose "blue".
