Mary R. Hascall

Mary R. Hascall, age 89, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at home in Des Moines.

Mary was born August 14, 1931 in Blue Earth, Minnesota to Preciliano and Antonia Ramirez Martinez. She took great pride in caring for her home and family. She will be remembered for her famous tacos. Mary enjoyed cooking for her family and made sure no one ever went hungry.

She is survived by her children, Christina (Pete) Freeman, Antonia Ayala, Danny Ayala, David Hascall; twelve grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; five siblings; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her children, Sheila Hascall and Ricky Hascall; parents, Preciliano and Antonia Martinez; and her loving brothers and sisters.

There will be a memorial service at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 beginning at 11:00 a.m. Family will greet guests one hour prior to the service. Mary will be laid to rest at Glendale Cemetery.
