Service Details

Corey Hail was born to Ben Hail, Sr. and Deborah Hail on July 25, 1979. Corey grew up in Indianola, IA where he also attended school until his junior year. He then went to North High. Corey moved to Missouri in 2008 & worked for Accent Rentals for many years. In his younger years, Corey chose many distrustful paths while living in Missouri and Iowa.

During this time he and his 1st wife Monserat Arenas were together for 17 years. They enjoyed their time watching their nieces Rabecca and Beverly growing up. In 2016, Corey chose to turn his life around and was reunited with his biological son, Austin Hail, Casey and Julia. He later reunited with Lana (Parnell) Hail, Austin’s mother and the five became a family. In 2018 he and Lana were married and moved to Des Moines where he began working for DSM Cold Storage as a forklift driver.

Corey enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, bonfires, loud thumping music, playing pool and basketball, & pulling pranks. Although most would say he could be difficult he was truly kind hearted, willing to help and give, and a hard worker. His true joy was spending time with his wife, kids, grandkids, and other family members.

Corey is survived by his mother, Debbie Hail (Wayne); wife, Lana Hail; children, Austin Hail (Heather), Casey Wilson, and Julia Parnell; grandson, Allen Joseph Hail; siblings, Amber Marie, Dianna Hail, Ben Hail, Amy Sebben, and Brandi (Jose) Gallardo; family members, Courtney (Jon) Farnsworth, Jade (Deejon), Samantha Bottcher, Gaia Farnsworth, Keelin Brookman, Rabecca Hail, Beverly Hail, Tre Good, Abel Williams, Darian VandeKrol and Detroy (Liz) VandeKrol; and many other family members and friends.

Corey is preceded in death by his father, Ben Hail, Sr.; grandparents, Oland & Cleta Sanders; and other family and friends.
