Carol Kathryn (Higley) McCall

Carol Kathryn (Higley) McCall a resident of Valley View Village, went home to our Lord on Wednesday, November 25th.

Born in Corydon, Carol graduated from Corydon High School in 1949 and then moved to Des Moines.

She worked for many years as a bookkeeper and administrative assistant. She retired from the Iowa College Student Aid Commission in 2001.

In her spare time, Carol liked music, traveling, watching auto races, working in her flower garden, and other projects.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Jennie Higley, and her first husband, Marion Bretz and third husband, Ronald McCall.

She is survived by her son, Kevin (Kathy) Bretz of Des Moines, IA, and her brothers, Don (Maxine) Higley of Greentop, MO, and Max (Lucille) Higley of Roseville, CA.

A private family visitation will be held followed by burial at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Valley View Village in memory of Carol.
