Adrian M. Miller, 84, passed away on July 22, 2020. He was born in Kirksville, Missouri, on June 26, 1936, the son of Helen (Scott) Smith and Adrian Miller.

Max was united in marriage to Helen Smiley on March 30, 1956, and served as a cook in the National Guard until his honorable discharge. He was a welder by trade and could fix anything. Max was a member of Our Lady of the Americas Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.

Max loved bowling, coaching baseball and softball, helping with soap box derby, and fishing. Later in life, he enjoyed feeding the squirrels and birds, and creating modern day pinwheels, also known as whirly gigs. Above all else, his greatest joy in life was being with his family. He was a very devoted father and grandfather, and never missed an event.

Max is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Helen; children, Kathleen “Kate” (Dave) Payne, Adrian Max (Michelle) Miller, Jr.; Scott (Diane) Miller, and Cheryl (Mark) DePhillips; 12 grandchildren, Adam Payne, Darcy Miller, Allison Payne, Forrest Allbee, Noah Allbee, Devon Allbee, Samantha Allbee, Anna Ryan, Kaitlyn Scott, Michael Miller, Mackenzie DePhillips, and Blake DePhillips; 6 great-grandchildren, Chloe Miller, Aiden Ryan, Grayson Allbee, Amelia Ryan, Lucy Scott, and Reid Scott; brother, Jerry Miller; as well and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family and many special friends.
