Jeannine Gordon
June 27, 2020
Jeannine Mae (Crocker) Gordon, 78, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 8:12 a.m. at her home in Grimes, Iowa. She fought a courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2020 at the Wing River Cemetery, in her home state of Minnesota. Memorials may be given to Hope Chapel Alliance Church, Verndale, MN; Camp Jim Bible Camp, Pillager, MN; or Crown College in St. Bonifacius, Minnesota.
Jeannine invited Jesus to be her personal Savior as an 8-year old and kept her faith to the end of her time in this world. Her final story is one of encouragement to us all, that we must stay close to Jesus because salvation is worth everything. Her life Bible verse was Proverbs 3:5-6 and she did indeed trust in the Lord with all her heart.
Jeannine was born in Wing River Township, Minnesota to Kenneth and Emily (Erickson) Crocker on July 26, 1941. She married Dennis Gordon on August 5, 1961. She was a devoted Pastor’s wife who taught Sunday School, played piano, led Bible studies, baked food, and prepared church bulletins. She loved people and made substantial differences in many lives. She enjoyed working as a para-educator in public schools and loved her time working at the Wadena Tri-County Health Care.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Kathy Bucknell, three sister-in-laws: Mae Crocker, Betty Crocker, and Kathy Crocker. She is survived by her husband, Dennis, four children: Denise & David Bubeck of Grimes, Iowa, Matthew & Beth Gordon of Torrington, Wyoming, Michelle & Steve Nawrocki of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Jolene & Mark Nawrocki of Wheat Ridge, Colorado. In addition, she has 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and one on the way. She has 4 brothers, John, Jim, Jerry, and Dan & Michelle. Two sisters; Julie & Roger Riebling and Leola & Randy Beebe.
The family is very grateful for the professional and tender care of Dr. Tom Buroker and the Unity Point Hospice Blue Team. They were wonderful in the care they provided for our mom.

Dennis, So sorry to hear of your loss. I so appreciated and loved working with Jennine while I was teaching the kids at STC who had special needs. What fun we had as we played games with the students. She was the best teacher associate ever. Made it special that we both had put our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Put on the same page as we worked to educate our students. Sadness in my heart and prayers on the way.

Dennis, saddened to hear that Jeannine is no longer by your side, but glad that she is with Jesus. You and Jeannine were such an encouragement to us when we moved to Clutier. I will never forget our times together, many laughs and good conversations. We are praying for you, wishing we could join you at the service tomorrow.

So many good memories. So enjoyed your family for the years you spent in Hamlet. Was awesome having Jeannine help in JV Awana when we first started it in Hamlet. So thankful for the time I was able to stop and see Dennis and Jeannine a few months back. Beautiful memories but we still miss them so when they leave us. Love to all.
