Nancy Ann Haines

Nancy A. Haines, 66, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on March 22, 2020. She was born in Des Moines on September 19, 1953, to Bernice and Veda McCaulley.

Nancy worked at ChildServe for 21 years. She enjoyed working together with her mother in the flower and garden club, watching the Kentucky Derby, and betting on horse races. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandkids.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Dan; children, John (Cassie) Haines, Andy (Amanda) Haines, and Phillip Haines; grandchildren, Blayne, Bylaec, Braextyn, and Emery Haines; brothers, Roger McCaulley and Keith McCaulley; sister-in-law, Virginia McCaulley; many nieces and nephews, as well as other loving relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Linda Hewitt and Benny McCaulley.

The family will receive visitors from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. A private family graveside service will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery with a celebration of life at a later date.
