Dixie Marie Zitterich, 63, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 12, 2020. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, January 16th at Celebration Church, 6204 SW 9th Street in Des Moines. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 15th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Dixie was born November 30, 1956 to Kenneth and Virginia (Moreland) Schreck in Des Moines. She worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield for 15 years and retired from Citi- Group in July 2019. She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending church, playing bingo and was an avid collector of Angels. She was a strong woman of faith. As a child, Dixie enjoyed spending summers with her cousins at the lakes of Minnesota.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter; Charity (David) McClaskey, grandson; Caleb Williams, granddaughter; Merci McClaskey, Step-son; Trevor Schwidder and many cousins.
Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, spouse; Richard Williams and second husband; Darrin Zitterich.
Memorials can be made to the family or Celebration Church.

I lost my mom in 2004 what helps me when I miss here a lot was a month before she passed I held her hands and she received Jesus in her heart a fresh that gave me such peace so I will say these words of encouragement to you its not goodbye but you will see her again hold on to great memories of her in your heart until then

My thoughts and prayers are with you Charity while you go thru this very difficult time. I worked a long time at Citi with Dixie and really got to know her. I am sad God has chosen to take her so soon as she never got to enjoy her retirement that she so deserved. My deepest sympathy.

So sorry for your family's loss. Loved Dixie saw her everyday for years at Citigroup. Baby sit you Charity for a couple of years and you were the apple of your mom and dad's eye. Never forget how much love came from your mom. God bless you all
