Vera Terveen, 91, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Winterset Care Center.

Vera was born December 6, 1927 in Watertown, South Dakota to George and Helen (Kones) Montooth. She and her husband lived in various cities in South Dakota, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Iowa. Vera loved to sing and was in the Lutheran Church Choir in every city she lived in. She enjoyed reading and gardening.

Vera is survived by her daughters, Karen (Joe) Kisgen and Diane Kohler; six grandchildren, Eric (Kelli) Kisgen, Gretchen (Aaron) Grant, Tim (Sasha) Kisgen, John Kohler, Erin (Kevin Woodall) Kohler and Ryan Kohler; five great-grandchildren, Avery, Marika, Sedrik, Emma and Kendrick; and a host of extended family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; brothers, Don Montooth and Bob Montooth; sister, Mavis Schooley; and her parents.

Vera will be laid to rest at Castlewood Cemetery, South Dakota with her beloved husband Arnold.
