Thomas H. Gordon, Jr.

Thomas Henry Gordon, Jr., age 80, passed away peacefully under hospice care in the comfort of his own home on Monday, December 2, 2019.

Thomas was born September 19, 1939 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Thomas H. Gordon, Sr. and Lola Leone (Stover) Gordon. He married Judith Ann (Blanchard), who preceded him in death. He worked as a painter with the Union in Springfield, Missouri. Thomas enjoyed square-dancing, watching western movies, listening to country music, and playing his guitar.

Thomas is survived by his children, Craig Gordon and Denise Hoehn; eleven grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his children, Diane White, Rick Gordon, and Tom Gordon; grandson, Shane; and his brother, Gary.

There will be a service at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 7601 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.
