Carol Rose Stevens, 71, of Des Moines, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center due to complications from cancer.

Memorial service will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019.

Carol was born June 6, 1947 in Rock Island, Illinois to Floyd and Olive (Summers) Stevens. Her family meant everything to her. She enjoyed being outside and working around the house.

Survivors include sisters Linda Davis and Dixie (Charles) Torres, nephews Brian Davis and Nicholas Torres, nieces Carrie (Michael) Smith, Mandy Torres and Darcey (Terry) Kellogg, great-nephews Jacob (Heather) Smith and Briley Torres, great-nieces Danyelle Smith, Marrissa Kellogg, Destiny Kellogg, Tiffany Kellogg and Arianna Torres, great-great-nephew Jayce Smith and great-great-niece Olivia Smidt. She was preceded in death by her parents.
