James L. Worley

James L. Worley, 86, of Des Moines, Iowa went home to be with the Lord, March 22, 2019. A visitation will be held March 28, 2019, before the service from 9:30 am to 11 am, at Grace Church 4200 E 25th St. Des Moines, Iowa. A memorial service will be held at Grace Church, immediately following the visitation, at 11 am.

James was born and raised in Unionville, MO. After graduating from high school there, he served in the U.S. Navy and is a veteran of the Korean War. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, where he worked as a mail handler.

James received Christ as his Savior in 1967. He liked to be involved in the church and often served as an Usher or Deacon. In his later years, he was known to stop and talk to anyone that came his way and ask them about their faith and shared his.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Worley of Des Moines, IA; his children, James (Sherry) Worley, Anita (Perry) Washburn, Robin (John) Meyer, Richard (Beth) Worley, and Ruth Sposato; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-granddaughters; and his sisters Betty Bennett of Iowa and Donna Ellison of Wyoming.
