Kristine Cruz-Hernandez

Kristine Cruz-Hernandez, 37, lost her long fought battle on December 18, 2018. She was born July 29, 1981 to Deanna Thomas and was raised by her parents, Deanna and Charles Thomas. Kristine was always the life of the party! She would give the shirt off her back to help a person, if she could. Kristine graduated from East High School in Des Moines in 1999.

Those left to honor Kristine’s memory are her husband, Silverio; daughter, Janilynn; parents, Deanna and Chuck Thomas; brother, Joe Thomas (Stephanie George); grandfather, Glen Alderman; grandmother, Jane Thomas; nieces and nephews, Joey Thomas Jr., Madilynn Thomas, Megan Thomas, Dylan Thomas; and other loving extended family and friends.

Kristine was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nancy Alderman; grandfather, Charles Thomas; and cousin Jon Alderman.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Cremation will take place after services.
