Thomas Edward Stockebrand, Jr. died unexpectedly at the age of 69 on November 12, 2018 in Des Moines IA. Tom was active at Meredith Drive Reformed Church singing in the choir, going on mission trips to Haiti and Honduras, and was a deacon of the church.

Anyone who knew Tom knows he loved to talk. It’s not surprising that he was active in various Toastmaster clubs, and held various leadership roles including District Governor. He was also a member of Central Iowa Parliamentarians where he learned leadership skills in conducting meetings. He had a passion for politics, was very active in the caucuses, and often worked at the polls.

Tom loved being around family and enjoyed watching his nieces and nephews grow up. He treasured time on the Behrens’ Farm trying to play weekend farmer, and their many trips to New York and California to visit relatives.
