Robert Lee Walker

Robert L. Walker, 78, passed away on October 16, 2018, at Mercy Hospice Johnston. He was born June 7, 1940, in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Robert and Alice Walker.

Robert was a man to be admired. His gentle spirit is what made him a true servant. He never spoke a harsh word, never complained and was always willing to help others and put their needs first. Robert was also a member of Grace West Church.

Robert is survived by his sisters, Marilyn Tieszen and Barbara (John) Wilkinson; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2018, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
