Service Details

Lori Anne Lynch (Maldonado), 54, of Des Moines passed away suddenly in her sleep on October 9, 2018.

Lori was born on May 17, 1964 to parents Daniel and Diana Maldonado. The second oldest of three girls, she grew up and lived on the Southside of Des Moines her entire life. She graduated from Des Moines Abraham Lincoln High School class of ’82, and went on to attend classes at the University of Iowa.

After having met in high school, and coming back together in college, Lori married John Lynch and in 1985 the two welcomed the first of their three children, Brenna. In 1990 the trio became a quartet with the addition of Kailee Anne, and in the Spring of 1995, her only son, Jordan rounded out the bunch. In the summer of 2015, she gained her greatest and most cherished title of grandmother when her miracle of a grandbaby Briella Kay was born.

Left behind are we, the heartbroken, her family and friends that loved her to the moon and back: her loving parents, Daniel and Diana; children, Brenna (Chris), Kailee, and Jordan; sisters, Lynn (Don) and Lee Ann (Ray); her sweet grandbaby, Briella Kay; nieces and nephews, Jade, Nicholas, Kelcey, Noah, Natalie, Sarah, and Leo; the entire Lynch Family; and countless extended family members and friends.

Tonight our LoLo will be cuddling her beloved, heavenly fur baby, Max.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A service will be held at 11 a.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home on Thursday, October 18, 2018. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
