Larry Boylan

Larry Dean Boylan, 65, passed away at home Monday, October 8, 2018, from a heart condition. Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2018, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, followed by cremation. Family will greet guests one hour prior to the funeral. Family requests in lieu of flowers, please make donations to cover the funeral expenses.

Larry was born in Des Moines, Iowa on March 13, 1953, to Evelyn and Luick Boylan. He served in the Army, retired from Firestone, and was a member of the United Steel Workers.

Larry is survived by his children: Jessica Aguirre and her 3 children, Michael Detrick and his 3 children, Megan (Jim) Lewis and their 4 children, Jonathan Boylan, Daniel Boylan, Mary Detrick and her child, and Luke Pettey; sisters, Barb Meeks, Loretta Burk, Myra Cherry; and brothers, Barry Boylan and Bill Boylan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy, his parents, and his brother, John Boylan.
