Peggy Lee Brockhouse

September 17, 2018

Service Details

Heaven got an angel today. Peggy Lee Brockhouse, 52, went home to be with our Lord on September 17, 2018 after a battle with ovarian cancer. Peggy remained faithfully strong during her battle. She never complained, and she never was mad. She continued to be an amazing person throughout the challenging times.

This beautiful, self-less woman came into this world on November 1, 1965 in Tyler, MN to Miriam and Byrl Koster. Peggy was baptized, confirmed and married at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lake Benton, MN. She married her high school sweetheart in 1985, and the two of them embarked on a lifetime adventure moving around the country and raising their family. Peggy always said her favorite job was being a mom – she was a devoted, supportive and loving mom.

God.Family.Work was Peggy’s moto in life. She embraced each day with positivity, unaltering faith and compassion for her family and all those who crossed her path. One of the many qualities that drew people to Peggy, was her welcoming smile and that she treated each, and every, person the same. She was always thinking of others, even on her last few days here – making sure those around her were cared for and comfortable. She was truly an angel on earth.

Peggy also enjoyed cheering on the MN Twins, any John Grisham book, Family Feud and a good glass of wine. Peggy was known for her frequently requested homemade pizza and always wanting her on your team for cards. She was highly competitive, so her team usually won.

This generous and loving woman will be greatly missed by her husband of 33 years, Loren Brockhouse; her children, Megan Miriam, Grant Loren and Aspen Koster Brockhouse; her parents, Byrl and Karen Koster; her brothers, Roger (Joan), Dan (Joan) and Brandon (Mandy) Koster; and many extended family members and friends. Peggy was preceded in death by her mother, Miriam Koster; and sister, Kelli Koster.

Services will be held Friday, September 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Lutheran Church of Hope, 925 Jordan Creek Parkway in West Des Moines with visitation one hour prior.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Condolences at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.
