Robert G. Glenn, Sr.

Robert Glenn, Sr., age 86, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Mitchellville Care Center. Robert was born the son of Jess and Gladys Glenn on February 13, 1932 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Robert proudly served his country in the US Army in Korea. He worked many years at Dahl’s Foods on Ingersoll and was a member of First Christian Church in Des Moines. Robert enjoyed going on walks and will be remembered most by his orneriness and teasing people.

He is survived by his brother, Jerry Glenn; nephew and guardian, Michael (Casey) Glenn; nieces and nephews, Mark (Susie) Glenn, Kathy (David) Glenn-Lewin, Cindy (Dave) Peters, Chris Glenn and Beth Glenn; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jesse Glenn.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 21, 2018, with funeral service following at 11:00 a.m., at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW., Altoona. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m., at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.
