Sandra Wolff, 71, passed away July 12, 2018, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. She was born October 30, 1946, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, to Earl Wolff and Sylvia Kenny.

Sandra was a woman of great faith who devoted time to prayer and reading her Bible. Even through her pain and illness, Sandra remained positive and good spirited.

She spent many years caring for children and they will always hold a special place in her heart. Sandra was a social butterfly who enjoyed hosting parties and spending time with her loved ones. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She loved cooking and baking goodies to share with all of her friends and family. Sandra also had a unique love of butter, putting it on EVERYTHING, and enjoyed eating creamed corn out of the can.

Sandra enjoyed collecting angel collectibles, attending the farmers market, and reading. She was a movie buff and “Gone with the Wind” was her favorite book and movie.

Sandra will be remembered for her great sense of humor and big heart.

Sandra is survived by her son, James (Judyth) Wolff; 3 granddaughters, Kindall (Derek) Brownell, Kristina (Ray) Fitzgerald, and Cassondra (Rob) Strickler; 7 great-grandchildren, Shelton Strickler, Samual Strickler, Kyrah Strickler, Jonah Brownell, Emma Fitzgerald, Kylie Fitzgerald, and Cora Brownell; her siblings, Sylvia (Richard) Marquette, Wendy (John) Wolf, Debbie (Gene) Coufal, Elaine (Zene) Malinski, Darlene (Chip) Hansen, Cheryl (Peter) Versluis, Kathleen Bartels, Tracy (Scott) Belle, twin brother Daniel (Lynn) Wolff, Jimmy (Linda) Wolff, Earl (Gina) Wolff, Lonnie (Maxine) Wolff, Lance (Pamela) Wolff, and John (Karla) Nichols; as well as other loving relatives and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Wolff and Sylvia Kenny; one great-grandson, Benjamin Mitchell Fitzgerald; her significant other of 33 years, Leonard T. Wood; and siblings, Darrell Wolff, Warren Wolff, and Constance Canakes.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. with a service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Berwick Cemetery.
