Peggy Philips, 76, passed away July 9, 2018. She was born November 14, 1941 in Fairfield, IA to Fern (Hamilton) and Albert Mrogenski. After graduation from high school, Peggy married D.

While working at the Senior Center in Fairfield she baked at least twenty loaves of bread a day. She continued her baking at Johnston Community School District after moving to Urbandale. Her recipes did go to the grave, however, some of us have figured out some of her secrets....shhhhh!

Peggy also enjoyed gardening, flowers and birds, and collected rocks, marbles, eggs, teacups and teapots. She thoroughly enjoyed all things sports, especially NASCAR. She was a life-long fan of Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Jr. and on Sunday’s you could find her flipping channels between football games and the race! Saturdays she enjoyed watching the Hawkeyes! GO HAWKS!!

She is survived by her brother, Tommy Mrogenski and niece Kelly Fleck and family; her children, David (Joni) Belle Plain, Dennis (Sondra) Ollie, Deborah Syfert, Daniel (Wauneta) Birmingham, and Penny (Terry) Dolberg; grandchildren, Corey (Leigha), Brandon, Travis (Julie), Cohen, Keaton (Becca), Allie (Tyler), Tarrah (Jacob), Tanner, Megan (Josh), Melanie (Jordan), Maddy and Ty.
